Deepen your EMDR practice with support and guidance
EMDR therapy can be a powerful tool for helping clients heal, but navigating case conceptualization, treatment planning, and complex clinical presentations can sometimes feel challenging, even for experienced therapists.
Consultation offers a space to ask questions, explore clinical challenges, strengthen your understanding of the EMDR process, and develop greater confidence in your work. Whether you are newer to EMDR or looking for a collaborative space to think through a difficult case, our time together will be focused on your clinical growth and the needs of your clients.
My approach to consultation is collaborative, practical, and supportive. I want you to leave each session with a clearer understanding of your clinical work, new perspectives to consider, and tools you can bring directly into your practice.

What we can explore together
Case conceptualization and treatment planning
Explore client history, presenting concerns, potential targets, and how past experiences may connect to current symptoms and patterns.
Navigating challenging cases
Talk through clinical questions, stuck points, pacing, readiness for processing, and ways to support clients who may need additional preparation or stabilization.
Developing EMDR skills and confidence
Strengthen your understanding of the EMDR protocol, the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, and clinical decision-making throughout treatment.
Trauma, attachment, and family-of-origin concerns
Explore how developmental experiences, attachment wounds, and longstanding relational patterns may inform case conceptualization and treatment planning.
Building Confidence in EMDR Intensives
EMDR intensives can be a powerful format for trauma work, yet they are often less discussed in traditional clinical training. If you're considering adding intensives to your practice, consultation can help you explore how to structure sessions clinically, identify appropriate client populations, establish pricing and marketing strategies, and build confidence in delivering extended trauma processing. Together, we can discuss both the clinical considerations and practical steps involved in integrating intensives into your practice.
Who is consultation for?

-
Have completed EMDR Basic Training and want support applying what you've learned.

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Consultation is an opportunity to learn, reflect, and build confidence as you continue developing your practice.

About Me
I’m Natalie Foster, an EMDR Certified therapist and EMDR Consultant-in-Training (CIT) with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. My clinical background spans inpatient and outpatient settings, where I’ve worked with adults navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, relationship challenges, and longstanding patterns that can be difficult to change.
My approach to consultation is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in curiosity. I believe that becoming a stronger clinician involves more than learning a protocol; it requires understanding the person behind the symptoms, recognizing patterns, and developing confidence in clinical decision-making. I enjoy helping therapists connect the dots between a client’s history and present-day struggles, think through complex cases, and identify opportunities for meaningful therapeutic work.
As an EMDR Consultant-in-Training, I offer a space for therapists to ask questions, work through clinical challenges, strengthen their case conceptualization, and build confidence in applying EMDR.
My goal is to help you grow in your clinical skills while remaining thoughtful, intentional, and responsive to each client's unique needs.
I believe we are always learning as clinicians, and consultation is an opportunity to reflect, build on your strengths, and continue developing the skills that help you show up effectively for your clients.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be EMDR trained to participate?
Consultation is intended for clinicians who have completed EMDR Basic Training or are currently completing an EMDRIA-approved Basic Training program, subject to applicable consultation requirements. If you're unsure whether your current training qualifies, reach out before scheduling.
Can consultation count toward my EMDR certification?
As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Training (CIT), I may be able to provide consultation hours toward EMDR certification, subject to EMDRIA's requirements. EMDRIA currently allows a maximum of 15 consultation hours provided by a CIT toward certification, with at least five hours obtained from an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. See EMDRIA Website for full information on requirements.
What should I bring to a session?
After our initial consultation, I will provide you with individualized expectations and areas of focus to help guide your growth and development as an EMDR therapist. We will review these together to establish goals for our work and identify areas where you would like to strengthen your knowledge and clinical skills. You are also welcome to bring challenging cases, clinical questions, or specific goals and expectations you have for consultation. Our time together will be collaborative and tailored to your learning needs and professional growth.
Is consultation only for therapists pursuing certification?
No. Consultation can also support trained EMDR therapists who want to continue developing their skills, think through complex cases, or gain a fresh clinical perspective, even if certification isn't their current goal.
How much does it cost?
I currently offer flexible consultation options to support your professional growth as an EMDR therapist.
-
Individual Consultation: $75 for a 60-minute session, tailored to your clinical questions, challenging cases, and individual learning goals.
-
Group Consultation: $50 per person for 60-min session, offering an opportunity to learn collaboratively, gain new perspectives, and grow alongside other clinicians.
Where are you located?
I am located in Scottsdale, AZ but offer virtual sessions.
